Lots of Tricks!! Greg Schneider has emerged as one of the most outstanding DJs in Boston. Truly a rising star, and the definition of a "Tastemaker," Greg’s sound reflects elements of house, electro, and tribal. Driven to succeed, for more than 18 years, he has proven himself to be a well- respected professional of the music industry, viewed as an icon in the Boston nightlife community, and a DJ who brings a unique yet sincere enthusiasm to all his performances. Greg Schneider.. fell in love with music at a very young age. When he was about 6 years old, he discovered his parent's old record collection, as he recalls listening to Stevie Wonder's "Innervisions", Al Green, Pink Floyd's "The Wall", Fleetwood Mac's Rumors and, of course, Kraftwerk.. he had quickly developed a passion for music, something that has never left him. Greg's involvement in music extends beyond the DJ booth. Prior to learning the art of beat matching, he studied music theory as well as the saxaphone & drums. By age 20 he was a professional drummer and percussionist performing in several Boston based bands such as TadPole, Sun Junk, and ONE. Currently holding down several residencies in the Boston area, those which include Underbar, Sanctuary, Felt, Splash, and Whiskey Park. He has also spun at the following notable venues, The Pool at Harrah's Resort, [world renowned] RISE After Hours, The Roxy, Therapy After Hours in Rhode Island, The Foundation Room, The Exchange, & Aria. Greg is also the Director of Operations and Entertainment at one of Boston's premier Summer venues, The WaterClub in Marina Bay. Greg has been instrumental in defining the vision and theme for each of the nights and has been a major proponent in making The WaterClub successful and one of Boston's finest Summer hot spots. Greg Schneider always packs his sets with a good dose of emotion, consistently delivering solid programming and smooth mixing. His sound is chunky, funky and soulful, with a percussive, tech-oriented edge; always uplifting and energetic, with solid kicks and dirty bass lines. This has certainly proved to be an important year for Greg, and his career. Releasing his first 2 tracks out on Beatport, playing reoccurring gigs with Deadmau5, as well as playing with Manuel De La Mare, Mindcontrol, Oscar G, Kobbe, Felix da Housecat and Chus & Ceballos.. and that is just to name a few. Looking forward now, into 2011... Starting the year off right, playing in the company of artists like Dirty South, FunkAgenda, Mindcontrol, Oscar G, & Boris.. on the legendard GROOVE CRUISE MIAMI in January, WMC plans in March, upcoming radio show's, and much much more...
